Georgia will be represented for the 15th time on the European Film Market (EFM) (The Georgian pavilion number is 126 and will be located in the Marriott Hotel in Berlin). Meetings will be held with representatives of Berlin, Cannes, San Sebastian, Toronto, Locarno, Venice, Annecy and the European Film Academy. Foreign filmmakers interested in shooting in Georgia will also find out about the program “Film in Georgia”. In addition, there will be talks with distributors, sales agents, cinemas and TV companies interested in buying Georgian films.
Two works by Georgian directors will be presented at the European Film Market for this year’s Berlin International Film Festival, with Uta Beria’s debut feature Negative Numbers and The Golden Thread by Georgian cinema’s acclaimed director Lana Gogoberidze in screenings later this month.
