Georgian Cinema Days opened in Strasbourg on March 4 in the L’Odyssée cinema.
As you know, on November 27, 2019, Georgia became the chair country of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe. Hence, Strasbourg hosts numerous cultural events, including a retrospective of Georgian films. The program opened with Otar Ioseliani’s film “Iko Shashvi Mgalobeli”. Mr Otar arrived in Strasbourg specifically for the event and presented the film to the audience at the L’Odyssée cinema.
Together with the Georgian National Film Center, the event is partnered with the City Hall of Strasbourg and the Georgian Film Academy.
